How I manifested $24,000

Here's my results from Experiment #4 of Pam Grout's E2 book:

Before I explain how I manifested $24,000, you need to know how it all started.

I have consciously been manifesting for about 2 years. That means that in the past 2 years, I have been working on focusing my thoughts and feelings to bring something in to my life- my reality.

Like a lot of people, the number one thing on my list was money.

I needed money and I needed it right now.

I was in this slump- it seemed like I never had enough money or just enough to get by.

I read books, did all those get-a-million-dollars-by-the-end-of-the-day YouTube subliminal's. I cleansed and balanced my chakras, bought money oils and incense...anything that anyone claimed would help me get money right now.

They say that whatever your deep seeded beliefs are, and not just  beliefs about money, will determine the extent of what you can experience. So if you have any limiting beliefs about money, it will limit the amount and the ways money can come to you.

I obviously had some limiting beliefs 'cause none of that stuff seemed to be working. I felt so stressed about money all the time.

And that was part of the problem. Our thoughts, feelings and beliefs all determine what we're attracting into our lives.

If we're feeling like we never have enough money, then we're thinking that we never have enough which creates situations where we never have enough.

So I started to be more aware of my feelings towards anything having to do with money.

Once you're aware of something, you can work on adjusting it. (tweet this)

Whenever I went shopping, I noticed that I felt a tightness or tension when looking at prices of things. If someone invited me to lunch, I'd feel that tightness again while thinking about what to order.

Just about anything having to do with the exchange of money, or the thought of money, and even receiving money gave me that tight, constricting feeling.

Whenever I would feel that tension creep in, I'd take a deep breathe in and tell my self "I am abundant."

Then I made it a point to buy one thing at the store without looking at the price. Something as simple as a pack of gum, or a candy. (Organic of course.)

Or I would order a drink at a restaurant. It might not sound like a big deal, but when you are so worried about money, or feeling like you're literally living paycheck to paycheck- buying without a price tag check is pretty serious stuff!

Another thing I started doing to reprogram my money vibe was to constantly replay in my head things I had manifested in the past. Like a mental gratitude journal.

When you're thankful or thinking about things you've already manifested, you feel good. It also helps keep your mind off bills or anything else that causes you financial stress.

It also helped to build my confidence in my ability to ask the Universe for things. When I say things- I don't just mean material things. Peace, love, harmonious relationships are also things you can manifest into your life.

Let's summarize:

~Beliefs create a manifesting set point.

~Anytime you feel tension around money, breathe it out.

~Use affirmations that make you feel good.

~Gratitude!

~Ask for what you want.

Alright- so how did I manifest $24,000 in three days?

I'd been meditating every day, I got rid of my guilt about asking God for whatever I wanted, I was buying full price shirts at target- the world was my oyster.

Experiment #4 says to pick a specific thing you want to manifest in 48 hours. I decided I wanted $10,000.

I went through my day feeling & pretending that I had $10,000. I even made a list of the things I would do with the money.

I felt pretty good up until 9 o'clock.

9:04 was the deadline. I checked my account and the money wasn't there.

To be honest, I was pretty bummed. I thought for sure I was gonna get it! I sat down to log my results when I had this epiphany.

The reason why I've been trying to manifest a large sum of money is to keep me from feeling anxious

Anxiety about the unknown; anxiety about the future. Anxiety about some possible financial catastrophe that could happen and not being financially prepared for it.

The real reason I (and probably other people) want to win the lottery or hit the financial jackpot is to have peace of mind

Peace of mind knowing that whatever financial situation comes up will be taken care of.

In my attempt to manifest $10,000- I was graciously reminded that I am taken care of.

Every situation in my life up til this point (financial or otherwise), has been taken care of. So why would the future be any different?

Any real need for money has always been met- miraculously. The problem isn't about having money- I know I'm blessed beyond measure.

The problem has been my perception.

When you focus on lack, you will get more of what you're giving your attention too.

But when you put your energy and attention on abundance, you will find more and more things to be thankful for.

I sat there with this amazing peace, not just knowing, but feeling like I am always supported financially. That peace was priceless

I took a break for a few days from thinking about the experiments again. I wanted to stay in that peace for as long as possible, because I knew that the longer I can emulate those feelings about being financially abundant, that it would start to reflect in my reality.

Another amazing thing happened. In those few days after my epiphany, I was able to check a few things off my list of things I would do with $10,000!

There was a big shift in my thoughts about money, and manifesting so I decided to try to manifest the money again, just for the fun of it.

I wrote on a note in my phone: "In the next 48 hours, I expect to receive $10,000 into my checking account. Every positive thought is a magnet to the $10,000!"

I didn't give it much thought after that.

3 days later I got a call from my mom, asking me if I had checked my bank account. I thought holy crap -she won the lottery and put the 10k in my account! She stayed on the phone with me while I checked it.

I logged into my bank as fast as I could and was amazed to see that I had $24,000 in my checking account!!

Apparently the bank had made a mistake and put her loan into MY checking account.

I wasn't even bummed that it wasn't my money (ok maybe a little bummed.)

It was just such an amazing feeling. It gave me this huge boost of confidence and a reminder that the more you can have fun, and feel good, you'll attract things into your life easily.

I know that's hard to hear when you feel like you're in a pit and see no way of getting out. But there is always a way out. Our thoughts are affecting our reality all the time. Once you start becoming aware of this and work on changing those thoughts, you'll notice how you can shift the energy in your life. Then you'll get better and better at aligning with the things you want.

Another thing I learned from this was to always stay open- the Universe (God) will  provide above and beyond as long as you're open.

To be free from suffering, free yourself from attachments- Buddha (tweet this)

While I didn't exactly get the $10,000 I had thought I was going to get, manifesting $24,000, even if it was only temporary.

This book has definitely helped me harness my ability to manifest and to be aware of the thoughts and feelings I have on different issues. I highly recommend Pam Grout's book to start you to work with this universal energy that's available to all of us! If you've already read it, I'd love to hear your experiment results!

Peace & Blessings,

Felicia

How to Tell Someone No

Idk if you know this (I didn't)- NO is a complete sentence.

If you want, you can sweeten it up by adding a thank you to the end.

Sometimes I keep it short and sweet.

No.

Or even nope.

I'm getting so much better at using this beautifully freeing sentence.

I'm a pro at telling my son No!

They taught us in school to say no to drugs- and the church I grew up in taught us to say no to pretty much everything else.

But no one taught me how to say no to my family or friends.

It's a very important word that we all need to use from time to time.

If you are struggling with this two letter word, head on over to Over The Moon Magazine to learn how to say no!

Peace,

Felicia

Pam Grout E2 Book Review - A book about manifesting

quotes about reading

I'm buying books a lot faster than I'm reading and I wanna switch that up this year. I've also started a book club with one of my best friends-something I've been wanting to do for years!

Because my son was born at 26 weeks, he had to spend quite a bit of time in the NICU, just a week shy of 4 months.

The angel we met told us that we should read to our son- that way it would pass the time and he would be able to know we were there since we couldn't touch or hold him.

So the first thing we did was buy some books.

I read to him every day and I know it was one of the reasons for the amount of self growth I experienced in those 4 months. Reading is a form of therapy for me and this year, my aim is to read at least one book a month.

Pam Grout's E squared- Nine Do-It Yourself Experiments that Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality made it's way to the top of the list.

I've had my eye on this one since it came out because it combines two of my favorite things, DIYs and metaphysics!

If you haven't already experienced first hand that thoughts, intentions and energy are as real as the couch you're sitting on, I highly recommend this book.

The nine experiments take about 48 hours each. I'm going to be sharing my experiences and results from each one but I'll try not to spoil anything for you. Since some of these happened faster, I'm going to just keep updating this post with my results from the 9 experiments.

Experiment # 1: Asking for proof that there is a 24/7 energy force available to all of us, all we have to do is be aware of it and ask for what it is we want and it'll deliver.

Results: This was a little tricky for me since I already believe with every bit of my being that there is a presence bigger than us. I'm not trying to sound holy roller, but I am aware and engage with that presence throughout my day- so much more since I started meditating daily. So for me- the best I can describe the results of this experiment is like a kid believing in Santa Claus and not questioning where the presents under the tree came from.

Experiment #2: What you experience in your reality is because of your beliefs and expectations.

Results: In this experiment, you are to pick a color of car, or object and keep track of how many you see in 48 hours. I picked orange and my boyfriend picked lime green. I was inside for the first day of the experiment but I still managed to see orange cars. They were ALL over my Instagram feed. The morning of day two, I went to pick up coffee and I saw 5 orange vehicles in the 10 min travel to and from the coffee shop. At one point during our time cruising around town, my boyfriend and I looked over to find a bright orange car next to a lime green truck!! It's already been a couple of weeks and I'm still seeing those to colors everywhere.

Experiment #3: Use dowsing rods to physically see there is a field of energy around us that can be used to guidance (or finding water).

Results: I really enjoyed playing with the rods we made. You can make them with wire hangers. They can be programmed and used like you would a pendulum. I'll share how to use a pendulum in another post. I was also able to clear some stuck energy in my house using the rods. I'll share a post on that too.

Experiment #4 The results from this experiment are so amazing, it's gonna have it's own post.

Be sure to check back for more results!

Be Happy Where You Are + Free Printable

We're a couple of weeks into the new year and thankfully I'm still excited and working on my goals for the year. While it's good to have an eye towards the future, it's also equally important to be happy and fulfilled now.

Goals should be a way to encourage self improvement, but can sometimes be used as a way to avoid fully being in the here and now.

I'm guilty of using goals as a means to escape reality.

Let's use my blog for example. I want to grow my blog to reach thousands of people.

So naturally, I spend all day on Pinterest pinning away all the things I need to do to make that happen.

Instead of making a plan of action-able steps, I spend all day in lala land. Now it's 7 o'clock and my family is starving and all I've done all day is pretend I have a million blog followers that are waiting for my pearls of wisdom. (My ego can sometimes get the best of me).

So I must stop and think- Am I really ready for a million readers?

Maybe not.

At least not until I can remember to feed my family at a decent time.

Are you really ready for those big dreams and goals? Check out my article on Over the Moon Magazine to see if you're really ready!

Blessings-
Felicia

Healthy New Year, Healthy New you

Happy New Year- a.k.a "I'm ready to get in the best shape/relationship/job/etc. of my life!".

2015. So crazy.

I thought for sure after the Y2K we'd be teleporting, and have robots who clean and cook calorie-less foods like Rosie from the Jetsons

I don't mean to brag, but we got a robot this year.

Yup. A real- life robot.

My son got a robotic dinosaur. He doesn't cook, or clean, but he can sit, bark and growl. And he can go into maniac mode if you press a button on his back (which isn't that impressive, I can do the same thing).

Well, just as I'm sure that there's technology out there for teleporting, I'm pretty sure there's some sort of technology for getting rid of calories (kinda like the Total Gym we got for Christmas).

It's safe to say the past, oh I don't know, maybe my whole post-pubescent life, one of my new years resolutions has been to get healthier (code for skinnier)

While I could go on and on ranting about body image and weight and women and all the other stuff you already know, I'm gonna save you the headache. After all, it was one of the biggest party days of the year last night.

As I was cleaning up today after our awesome party, I tuned into Over the Moon Radio and listened to episode 2- Stop Feeling Crazy About Food with Isabel Foxen Duke

Isabel made a very good point. One that we all need to commit to memory.

Weight and health are NOT the same thing.

You can be healthy and thin and healthy and not thin. You can be unhealthy and thin and unhealthy and not thin.

So if you're like one of the many bazillion women who want to get "healthier" this year, I suggest you check it out. Or even if you just ate one too many tofu cocktail weenies or one too many glasses of gluten free champagne.

Sorry so short, but I have more confetti to clean up.

Listen to it and get ready to be the healthiest you you can be!

Cheers to the new, healthy, you!!

xxo,

Felicia

Why I Started Meditating Every Day (the answer might surprise you!)

Apparently it's been a few months since I've posted anything on my blog. I write pretty regularly but it seems as soon as I take a break in my day to get it blog ready, my son wakes up.  Or I realize it's almost 6 and I haven't showered, let alone make anything for dinner.

Believe it or not, I'm starting to get the hang of this new role of motherhood. Kinda. I did forget the diaper bag last week but for the most part I'm doing pretty good.

Showers are a regular occurrence, my house is in order and we don't eat corn dogs for lunch anymore! (I've actually been living without a microwave for over a month now.)

So how did I go from stinky, scattered, microwave-hot-dogs-for-lunch-everyday, messy mama to good smelling, grounded, I-now-use-my-toaster-oven-for-everything, organized mama?!

Well... I'm not really sure.

But I'd have to guess that the secret behind my success is meditation.

I have been meditating for 21 consecutive days!

Yup...I signed up again for the Oprah & Deepak 21 day meditation challenge- but this time I actually did it for more than 5 days.

And I have been more productive in those 21 days than I have been in probably the last 2 and a half years!

Meditation is like organization and cleaning for your soul.

It's a way to get rid of all the things that you don't need any more and allows room for the stuff you really want to cultivate in your life.

I felt scattered, unorganized and unproductive. I felt like I was always behind and trying to catch up with my life.

I was tired of how my life was going and I was asking for direction.

So once again, I was graciously given a nudge from the Universe.

I was laying on the couch one afternoon, already feeling defeated since my son and my kitchen were covered in oatmeal, (yes, oatmeal is a lunch food) and the rest of my house was a disaster. There were tons of boxes that needed to be unpacked, clothes that needed to be folded- you get the picture.

I didn't know where to start, so I grabbed my oatmeal covered child, and threw all the laundry off the bed and we laid there.

He was spilling his bottle while I checked my email on my phone.

I got the email for Day 1 of the meditation challenge and decided to create a cool picture for my Instagram to show people how dedicated I was for signing up for another 21 day challenge.

I posted the pic and decided what the heck...we're already laying here, we might as well meditate!

The few times I had actually done the meditations, they were really good and I was excited for this one because the topic was Live the Life You've Always Wanted and that sounded pretty good to me.

Especially cause I felt like I wasn't exactly living my dreams.

So I put it on and to my surprise, Max had stopped squirting his milk on the bed and was falling asleep!!

It usually takes me awhile (an hour) to put him down for a nap so the fact that he was asleep in less than 20 minutes was incredible

I finished up the meditation and felt refreshed. I think I even showered.

The next day around nap time, I put on the meditation for day 2, and Max fell asleep again!

Day 3 and 4- same thing. No screaming or fighting his nap.

He would fall asleep so fast, I was ready to buy the whole series.

And another thing started happening- I starting making lists of all the things that needed to be done.
Now, I had made lists in the past but I never really got around to actually doing them.

The more I got done, the more motivated I was to do more. I was starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I was more focused and relaxed. I started noticing this expanding feeling of calmness.

We were a week into the challenge and to be honest, the only reason I was doing it every day was because it was the fastest way I could get my son to nap.

I've been wanting to make meditation part of my routine for awhile now, but couldn't get passed the feeling of being to busy to actually do it.

I didn't all of a sudden have time- I just found something that was helping me put my son to sleep faster so I could hurry up and do more stuff around the house.

Regardless of the reasons behind my daily meditation, I was still reaping the benefits.

Another icredible thing started happening. I noticed all my relationships were improving, I was feeling more patient with my son and with everyone around me.

My outer world started reflecting my inner world.

I was letting go and clearing out space in my mind and my house was mirroring that. I was making time for me and I noticed that I seemed to have more time in my day.

But the second week into the meditation, Max wasn't napping. As a matter of fact, he didn't nap that whole week. But I still did it because I needed a time out for myself, even if it was only 20 minutes.

I needed that time to quiet my mind and reflect.

It's been 21 days. Almost everything on my to do list is complete. We've eaten home cooked meals almost every day, and I feel so good. Like really, really good.

The more I work on the inside, the faster I see change on the outside.

P.S.There are lots of free meditations on Youtube and if you check out The Chopra Center for Meditation, you can sign up for an upcoming meditation series. They're free and they also have an app you can download that's really convenient.
